Our Objectives

Perenco Guatemala actively supports communities located close to its areas of operations, supporting a number of local government, private and community initiatives.

The Social Action Policy is based on a successful three way relationship between :

• Perenco

• The communities

• The local Governmental authority (COCODES)

This proven three way arrangement promotes sustainable community development, based upon self-management and the participation of all the  communities set to benefit.

Current social action programmes include:

• Employment Programmes

Institutional Support

Perenco supports a variety of important governmental institutions' initiatives in the areas near to its operations. These include CSR initiatives led by CONAP and SEPRONA (both environmental institutions), the Police and the local districts and Mayors.
