Education

Perenco is committed to supporting schools in Guatemala. Through the provision of building materials, Perenco has enabled the construction or refurbishment of a number of schools where Perenco operates. 

One important initiative is the ongoing provision of school desks.  Working closely with the local education authorities, Perenco is providing over 6,000 desks a year to schools and has to date equipped schools in Petén, Izabal, Alta Verapaz and "Franja Transversal del Norte"(FTN). The desks greatly enhance the schools and help create the right environment for the children to comfortably enjoy learning in their classrooms.
