In March 2011 Perenco conducted for the first time in Guatemala an operation of coiled tubing to enter into horizontal wells and perform selective stimulation of the reservoir formation. Although the well XAN-47 could not be stimulated, it has been a great success in wells XAN-46 & XAN-45 with an overall production incremental of 350 BOPD equivalent to a 33% production increase for these wells, above AFE base case
It has been the first very important job since the extension and this success will improve the confidence in our capability of maintaining the level of production and increasing the reserves towards the end of life of this already over 100 Millions of barrels produced field.

On top of it this complex operations, in terms of logistics and simultaneous works, has been performed without any accident and with continuous care to the environment, in line with the application of the company policies.
