On Feb. 2nd, in the Camellias Community in the Municipality of Sachaxché, Perenco Guatemala held a ceremony for the donation of desks.

"Our social responsibility is oriented towards access to safe water, health  and and development of all the communities living near our operations, supporting them with educational projects, infrastructure, furnitures, roads, in Petén, Alta Verapaz and Izabal " said the Community manager of Perenco Guatemala Jose Antonio Rodríguez.

Several oficials attended the ceremany  including  the Departmental Director of Education, Executive Secretary of the Presidency and the schools directors.
Perenco inform ed that for 2011, thez company donated a total of six thousand desks, distributed as follows:

• 3,500 to Petén

• 1,500 to Alta Verapaz

• 2,000 to Golfete

The Departemental Direector of Education stressed the importance of the work and help provided to schools by Perenco in the area.
